Cancellation Policy

Piha Surf Academy Limited — Cancellation and Participation Policy For new bookings from 11 September 2026. Existing bookings retain the terms accepted at purchase. Notice is measured to the scheduled start in New Zealand local time. Contact surf@pihasurfacademy.com or text 021 661 082 with your booking reference. 10+ days (240 hours): free rescheduling, full credit valid for 12 months, or a 75% refund. 4 to under 10 days: free rescheduling, full credit valid for 12 months, or a 50% refund. Four days means 96 hours. Under 4 days: no change-of-mind refund. Rescheduling or credit is discretionary, depending on costs and availability. No-shows receive no refund or credit. Fixed school term and holiday programmes: whole-programme cancellations are measured to the first session. Once a fixed programme starts, missed sessions have no refund or make-up. Individually reserved lessons in packs follow the notice rules per lesson, valued proportionately. Reserved hire uses the collection time. Unsafe conditions or events beyond our control: free rescheduling, or 12-month credit if you cannot attend the postponed session. Cash refunds remain available where required by law. Rain alone does not cancel a session. Read the full Booking Terms and Participant Waiver and Privacy Policy at checkout. Each adult participant must complete their own acknowledgement; a parent or legal guardian must consent for each participant under 18. Follow instructor directions and disclose relevant health and swimming-ability information before participating. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights or PSA’s health and safety duties.
