Piha Surf Academy: Our private group lessons are a fantastic way to have fun and learn to surf alongside friends or family. The informative sessions enable you to get a great head start. Our private group lesson ratios are 1 instructor to 6 surfers a smaller ratio than the guidelines of Surfing New Zealand. A minimum of two people are required for our private group options. We take pride in our interactive lesson all sessions include a theory aspect to give you the confidence in the water and in yourself. You will learn about beach safety such a rips and surfing technique.
