New Year, New Skill: Surf Lessons at Piha

Happy New Year! If this is the year you finally learn to surf, there's no better place to start than Piha. Piha Surf Academy has a lesson option for everyone, from the one-off try-it surfer to the keen learner ready to commit.
Which surf lesson should I choose?
Group surf lesson: $80 per person, 11am, ages 10+.
Private one-on-one lesson: $139, 9am.
Private group lesson: $120 per person, 2pm, for 2 to 6 friends or family with your own instructor.
Board and wetsuit hire: $45.
Every lesson runs for 2 hours with a soft-top board and wetsuit included, and lessons are by booking only.
I just want to try surfing once. What should I book?
A group lesson at 11am is a fun, social and affordable way to give it a go.
I want to improve fast. What's best?
A private one-on-one lesson gives you your instructor's full attention, so you can progress at your own pace. Many surfers book a few lessons in a row to build skills quickly.
Can I keep practising after my lesson?
Yes. Board and wetsuit hire is $45, so you can keep practising on a small day, with a mate, between the flags.
